Grants & funding
Application Process
Applying for a grant is deliberately simple. There is no complicated form to hunt down and no online account to create. It starts with one short email to the Community Council.
Step 1
Email us a very brief summary
Email the Community Council and tell us:
- what you intend to use the money for
- whether you are applying as an individual or a group
- how much you wish to apply for
- your contact details
Step 2
We send you the most relevant form
We will reply with the application form that best fits your idea and the fund behind it, so you only ever fill in the form you actually need.
Step 3
Your application is considered
Category 1 applications, up to £250 for individuals, £500 for non-constituted groups and £1,000 for constituted groups, are considered and approved directly by the Community Council. Constituted groups may submit more than one application for the same event where each relates to a separate aspect of it. Larger Category 2 proposals are discussed with you and passed, with our help, to the relevant fund administrator for final approval.
Step 4
Keep your receipts
All money awarded under the Scheme is fully auditable from application through to spending. Once your project is complete, we will ask for receipts which demonstrate that the money was used in a manner consistent with the terms of your application.
Start with one short email
Tell us about your idea today and we will guide you from there.
